Snow Day(s)

It's been about 7 years since we had snow and about 7 years before this that we had this much snow... maybe there's a pattern here? We'll see. I'm a summer girl. I prefer minimal clothes and plenty of sunshine. This snow needs to end! I think we've got about 18 inches so far and it's still snowing. That means that today is going to be a day of chores and then maybe I'll get to work on some crafts. The tagua nuts came this week. We've been working with them. They are at least as hard as rock! Rick is trying to carve them into 3 dimensional figures. These are test pieces. He's done a cat, and is currently working on a butterfly. We'll see how they come out before we get excited about it.
I am a private duty nurse and work with a toddler who has a genetic disorder and accompanying disabilities. I work night shift so that I can work in our store during the day, or work in my gardens when the weather is appropriate. This weekend it looks like we're going to have plenty of time to work on crafts and chores since it looks like I'm not going to be able to get to work tonight. Husband went to help a friend get his snowplow started. Maybe if I can get some of the chores done before he gets back, we can fit in some "quality time" between chores... it's a plan.
By the way... the picture is Casey. He thought he wanted to be outside in the snow... this was as far as he got!
